Jill Desborough: Mixed Media

I use ceramic, willow, wire, found objects and preserved twigs to intricately construct hybrid, often animal-headed figures... sanctuaries, shrines and sentinels, or small mythical totems. They are incarnations of secret or sacred spaces of quiet reflection, places of transition or mysterious guardians of our wild spaces.
